Each year, a group of Year 12 students travel to East Africa to help build a school in a Ugandan village. Some of the group are doing the World Challenge as an adventure in its own right, while for others it is part of the gold medal Duke of Edinburgh International Award. These students spend an extra week away.
In Uganda, the team spends a week trekking in the jungle and a week helping out in a village. The students carry out any other carpentry work that they can. The students fundraise throughout the year for their trip so they can buy extra building materials in Uganda.
